Season 1 (2013)
 1 "The Big Surprise" May 28, 2013 The Cryer family has prepared a surprise 50th birthday celebration for Jim, but as he arrives, he is stunned when he sees that his latest mistress, Candace, has become friendly with his daughter Amanda and is partaking in the festivities. Upon Wyatt's homecoming from rehab, the family is disheartened to see that he hasn't changed at all.

2 "Playing in the Deep End" May 28, 2013 Jim has repeatedly requested that Candace leave the family's home, but she continues to disobey him by staying with Amanda. Hanna, the Cryer's new housekeeper, is startled when she stumbles upon Candace shuffling through Katheryn's bedroom. Jim has a candid conversation with his best friend David about Candace's deceiving ways. Wyatt wonders about Jeffrey's sexuality.

 3 "Beautifully Dysfunctional" June 4, 2013 Candace commits some mischievous acts that put Jim's career in jeopardy. Benny works to persuade Candace to finally pay the growing mortgage on Hanna's home. After learning of Jim's situation, David decides to hire a questionable private detective to assist Jim.

 4 "Entering the Race" June 11, 2013 After Jim announces that he plans to run for Governor, Candace holds the affair against Jim and threatens to reveal the news to the media. Hanna is shocked when she discovers an eviction notice on her door.

 5 "A Woman's Pride" June 18, 2013 After her eviction, Hanna goes to Benny with questions regarding possibly adjusting the mortgage on her home. David formulates a plan to get rid of Candace for good. Hanna is informed about Katheryn's diagnosis of cancer.

 6 "Angry Sex" June 25, 2013 Jim falls into Candace's vindictive trap once again and David is irked by the fact that Jim is unable to control himself, which leads him to take charge of the matter. Back at the Cryer mansion, Celine has become envious of Hanna.

 7 "A True Friend" July 2, 2013 Amanda has Wyatt and Jeffrey assist her with the move into her new apartment while Hanna is set up on a blind date by Benny.

8 "The Criminal" July 9, 2013 Benny prepares for his date by asking to borrow a car, but is arrested and charged with drug possession after falling trap to someone's malicious intent. Amanda seduces her law professor to raise her grade.

 9 "The Set Up" July 16, 2013 Hanna finds out that Benny happened to be behind the wheel of Candace's car. David reveals how he participated in the set-up. Katheryn ends up bonding with Hanna over their issues.

 10 "Number Nine" July 23, 2013 After all the issues going on around her, Amanda tries to commit suicide after an altercation with Candace sends her over the edge. Katheryn shames Candace directly after Jim reveals his affair.

 11 "Not My Daughter" July 30, 2013 Katheryn tells everyone that she is leaving for vacation, but that turns out to be false. Veronica agrees to work on Benny's case. Wyatt is shocked when a previous girlfriend shows up. Jim receives the news that Amanda and Candace have moved into an apartment together.

 12 "In Recovery" August 6, 2013 Jim and Candace end up in a verbal and physical altercation. Amanda is in recovery while Katheryn might have to prepare for surgery. Wyatt receives another visitor from his past. After reviewing the case, Veronica questions Jim about some of the details. Amanda reveals to Candace that she was raped.

 13 "What Are You Doing Here?" August 13, 2013 Information is discovered by a detective that links Benny and Tony. Veronica continues to work toward answers for Benny's case. Laura is kept away from Wyatt by Jeffrey.

 14 "My Name Is Veronica" August 20, 2013 Veronica collects enough evidence to send it off to David, which in turn exposes the conspiracy. Katheryn gets nervous when her secret almost goes public.

 15 "The Truth Will Set You Free" August 27, 2013 After her secret is revealed, Katheryn tells everyone what she really knows about Jim's secret activities. Jeffrey finally discloses his love for Wyatt.

 16 "No More Hiding" September 3, 2013 Jeffrey tells his parents that he's gay. Hanna discloses that Tony is actually Benny's father. Candace informs Amanda that her parents are keeping her inheritance. Wyatt relapses and has a life-changing accident, one that affects more lives than his own.

 The February 4 episode of The Haves and the Have Nots, "Why Didn't You Tell Me?" was not only a series high episode in ratings, but the most watched television program in all of cable for the night.[21] The episode brought in 3.4 million viewers.[22] Among all OWN programming since the network's January 2011 debut, only a March 2012 Oprah’s Next Chapter interview with Bobbi Kristina has drawn more viewers (3.5 million) than the February-4-2014 episode of The Haves and the Have Nots.[21] On Tuesday, March 11, 2014, however, a season 2 episode of The Haves and the Have Nots—following a hiatus within the season—set a record for all of OWN programming, scoring the highest ratings in the station's history. The record-breaking episode brought in 3.6 million viewers.[23] Additionally, the episode came in at number 1 among all of cable television and number 4 among all shows on television for its airing night.

17 "The Black Sedan" January 7, 2014 Hanna anxiously awaits information regarding Benny's condition. Candace tries to get Amanda to stand up for herself.

18 "Wyatt's Nightmare" January 14, 2014 Wyatt kills a little girl after a hit-and-run, and Benny ends up on life support. Jim is unsure of what to do next once his campaign begins to fall apart. Amanda has an emotional breakdown.

 19 "Family Issues" January 21, 2014 Hanna disagrees with Tony's suggestion to take Benny off life support. Celine and Katheryn have a confrontation about the former's shabby treatment of Hanna.

20 "Unanswered Calls" January 28, 2014 Jeffrey comes to the conclusion that Wyatt is the one who's at fault for Benny's condition and Lizzie's death.

 21 "Why Didn't You Tell Me?" February 4, 2014 Candace talks with Jim to have Benny relocated to a private hospital.

22 "Protecting Wyatt" February 11, 2014 Jim does everything in his power to keep Wyatt from going to jail. Tony confronts Hanna and serves her with court papers.

 23 "Amanda's Revenge" February 18, 2014 Amanda breaks into her professor's home while his family is asleep. Candace is chosen by Hanna to represent her in court.

24 "Maggie's Plan" February 25, 2014 As Jim gets ready to announce his campaign for Governor, Wyatt's behavior and warnings from Candace becomes too much to handle.

25 "March for Justice" March 4, 2014 The judge makes a decision and sides with Tony. Hanna begs Tony on her knees to keep Benny on life support.

26 "Starting the Race" March 11, 2014 Candace tries once again to blackmail Jim and David during their campaign event. Wyatt finally gets arrested.

 30 "The Awakening" June 17, 2014 Benny wakes up from his coma.

 31 "The Vulnerable" June 24, 2014 Benny prepares for his release from the hospital. Hanna plans to testify against Wyatt. Maggie tries to seduce David.

 32 "The Sarandon Hotel" July 1, 2014 After escaping her kidnappers, Candace asks Warlock for help. Jeffrey is seduced by Melissa.

33 "Again and Again" July 8, 2014 David is compromised. Jim is plotting. Candace is panicking.

34 "Something's Wrong With Amanda" July 15, 2014 Amanda leaves the Cryer estate with Quincy. Candace hides out at Jeffrey's apartment. Katheryn and Celine get into another confrontation.

35 "Norman Hewens" July 22, 2014 A news report claiming that another    person is responsible for the hit-and-run saves Wyatt from jail. Katheryn berates Jim about his evil deeds. Hanna attempts to apologize to Jim for her hand in the tragedy, but he won't have it and orders her off his property; however, Katheryn has a tearful and beautiful reunion with her best friend, and offers Hanna her job back and to begin after Benny is settled in. Katheryn then tells Jim off about his attitude towards Hanna and orders him to keep Celine under control or else.

36 "Checkmate" July 29, 2014 Jim is confronted by Carlos, his illegitimate son with Celine. Katheryn's celebratory dinner party goes awry when Quincy, Candace's ex, shows up as Amanda's date. David and Veronica continue to battle over the fact that Jeffrey is gay. Candace seeks her revenge on Jim. Maggie makes another attempt to sleep with David.

 37 "The Power Dance" January 6, 2015 The sound of the gunshot wakes up Wyatt and he searches the house, finding Jim's phone. Hanna hosts a "welcome home" party for Benny, but Byron shows to up to explain himself. Benny sees that Michael likes Hanna and he's not having it. Jim is being held hostage by Warlock under Candace's orders. David resists the temptation to be intimate with Maggie. Quincy breaks into Veronica's home.

38 "The War Room" January 13, 2015 Jim is still being tormented by Candace. Hanna seeks information about Quincy's mother so she can get one step closer to finding her grandson. Benny is furious when he finds out that Candace sneaked out the house, so he leaves to find Jeffrey. Wyatt is still reading Jim's texts and drinking. Veronica grows impatient waiting on hotel security to open David's room.

39 "A Southern Brawl" January 20, 2015 Veronica and Maggie fight and David tries to claim his innocence. Candace puts Jim in the electric chair. Benny and Jeffrey meet each other, but misunderstandings cloud their judgement. Hanna shares a moment with Michael. Wyatt gives Celine a taste of reality and he finds out a about his brother Carlos. Veronica blames Jeffrey for David's affair and tells Quincy she knows where Candace is.

40 "Amanda's Room" January 27, 2015 Jim gives up and finally gives in to Candace's demands. At the campaign headquarters, people are wondering where Jim is. Benny is disgusted when he catches Hanna and Michael in bed together. Wyatt drunkenly gives Katheryn a piece of his mind. Jeffrey learns that his mother will stop at nothing to get what she wants. At the Cryer mansion, Hanna makes a heart-stopping discovery. Veronica shuts down Maggie for good.

41 "The Press Conference" February 3, 2015 Hanna finds Amanda dead in her room, and she, Wyatt, and Celine are overcome with shock. Candace releases Jim, but he gets a major surprise. At the campaign headquarters, David and Veronica start answering questions, but things go wrong when LGBT topics are broached. Candace goes shopping. Benny tries to get his life back to normal. Katheryn learns of Amanda's death.

 42 "A Tragic Day" February 10, 2015 Candace promises Benny that she's legit now. Jim is lost in the wrong section of town until a good Samaritan gets him back to his home. Everyone else is assembled at the Cryer house, with Hanna comforting Katheryn; Celine and Katheryn battling, with Katheryn firing her; Wyatt drunk; and Veronica trying to manipulate things to her liking, until the police announce that Amanda didn't kill herself, but someone else murdered her.

43 "April 7, 1979" February 17, 2015 Katheryn tells the story of how she first met Jim and gets into another fight with Celine. Benny gets a new car from an appealing stranger. Candace learns about Amanda's death. Wyatt loses it and makes a long-time-coming decision. The murder determination is overturned, and it is revealed that Amanda had indeed committed suicide. Katheryn and Jim break down after seeing Amanda's body.

 44 "In Crisis" February 24, 2015 Jim confronts Wyatt about what he said in the last episode, and Wyatt explains why he really loathes his father and reveals Jim's numerous affairs, including the fling that he had with Celine while Wyatt was at camp being molested. Katheryn and David try to tell Veronica how wrong she is about Jeffery. David calls Melissa, but we find out that Veronica may have something on her. Hanna asks for Candace's forgiveness for something that happened when Candace was younger. Quincy pays Jeffrey a visit, and Jeffrey finds out that Veronica set it up; the episode ends with the two men fighting.

 45 "A Talk with Jim" March 3, 2015 Benny insists that Candace has changed her ways, but Hanna is difficult to convince. Candace wants to talk to Jim about her situation. Katheryn reveals that Hanna is the only true friend she really has. Jeffrey has had it with Veronica and her constant manipulations. David and Candace have a short but tense talk. Katheryn and Jim talk about Celine and his past sexual affairs. Wyatt makes a huge decision.

 46 "Oscar" March 10, 2015 Hanna comforts Jim after Amanda's death. A stranger named Oscar shows interest in Candace, and he pays her to have sex with him. Candace and David talk about Veronica. Katheryn and Celine get into a third confrontation. Wyatt and D.A. Sallison talk about Jim's cover-up.

 47 "Unglued" March 17, 2015 Katheryn and Jim plan for a divorce. Candace buys a new house. David is angry at Veronica for telling Quincy to beat up Jeffrey. Benny goes to an auction. Veronica calls Quincy to talk about Jeffrey. Veronica goes to the Sarandon Hotel and causes big trouble.

48 "Enough is Enough" March 24, 2015 Jeffrey stands up to Veronica after Melissa tries to seduce him again and he learns that his mother arranged for him to impregnate Melissa. Quincy comes to Hanna's house with her grandson. Benny searches for Quincy after he hits Hanna. David moves back home. Jeffrey and Landon have sex. Candace and Oscar's relationship intensifies. Jim, Katheryn and Wyatt have a tense talk about the cover-up and Katheryn reveals she had affairs under Jim's nose. Benny violently assaults Quincy and is jailed. Veronica gets Benny out of jail, seduces him, and gives him her car before attempting to burn down her house with David in bed asleep.

 49 "Two Funerals" June 30, 2015 Veronica starts a fire that destroys her mansion and almost claims David's life. Benny, who's searching for his nephew, plans to bail Quincy out of jail. Veronica plans to see Benny again. Celine comes back to the Cryer Mansion. Maggie and the Cryers plan Amanda's funeral arrangements. Jeffery gets a call about the fire of the Harrington Mansion.

 50 "In Memoriam" July 7, 2015 Amanda is mourned and laid to rest. Wyatt's confession to D.A. Sallison sparks controversy. Veronica wants Jim to teach Wyatt a lesson. Katheryn and Jim confront Candace about Amanda and knock her out. Melissa reveals to Jeffrey and Candace that Veronica is blackmailing her family. Maggie obtains evidence of Veronica's affair with Benny and refuses to share it with David.

 51 "Nine Lives" July 14, 2015 Hanna finds out that Jim and Katheryn were holding Candace hostage. Maggie tries to find a way to tell David about Veronica's affair with Benny. Candace visits Quincy in jail. Jim takes Wyatt out of the Cryer Mansion.

 52 "The Cougar" July 21, 2015 Hanna covers for Benny after she discovers him in bed with Veronica. Melissa shows her true colors when she insists that Jeffrey's parents take care of her own parents. Candace gets a call back from the realtor and Benny questions about all the money she has. Veronica and Benny both tell Hanna that her their relationship is none of her business. Jim teaches Wyatt a hard lesson about prison.

 53 "Candace Young, Esq." July 28, 2015 Candace shows Benny where she works. Wyatt tries to tell the officers about the switch and he ends up fighting off his cellmate. Veronica is looking for "the car" and finds out that it's at Benny's new place. Benny gets Quincy out of jail, only to kill him.

54 "Benny Does Battle" August 4, 2015 While Quincy is hurt from the accident, Benny checks him for info on his nephew; afterward, he frames him for drug possession. Oscar takes Candace go to New York in hopes of Candace opening up to him. Jeffery tries to convince David that Veronica is too far gone for forgiveness. Veronica is looking for Benny and being followed by Maggie's private investigator. Benny finds his nephew, Q, and brings him to Hanna.

55 "Quincy Jr." August 11, 2015 Hanna is reunited with Q.

56 "A Home For Q" August 18, 2015 Candace learns that Hanna is seeking custody of Q; and the Cryers and Harringtons try to convince the D.A. that Wyatt's taped confession is a misunderstanding.

57 "Candace's Closing" August 25, 2015 Candace buys property with the money she extorted from Jim; and Jim is interviewed on TV.

 58 "Dianna Winchill" September 1, 2015 While Jim is being interviewed by Dianna Winchill, a surprise guest arrives. Veronica tells Jim that she had planned Wyatt's attack in prison, leading Jim to attack her and later put a hit on her, Professor Cannon, and Prison Guard Terrell by calling three hitmen and ordering a "bloodbath."

59 "Vetted" September 8, 2015 Hanna grows suspicious of Benny's involvement with Veronica and how he acquired his new house; Quincy drives a car through Hanna's home.

60 "Sheep's Clothing" September 15, 2015 Maggie tries to talk David into running for Governor; Jeffrey gives Wyatt the necessary ammunition to take his parents down.

 61 "When the Chickens Come Home" September 22, 2015 Hanna and Benny force Candace to tell the truth about everything; Secrets are exposed when Oscar shows his true motives; Veronica tries to convince David to run for Governor; Wyatt and Jeffery go to the tow yard for the car but while there they see Benny and Veronica having sex; Jim orders the hit and makes an announcement that he's staying in the race for Governor right after the D.A. arrests Jim, Katheryn, David, and Veronica for tampering with evidence and obstruction of justice after striking a deal with Wyatt for immunity for both him and Jeffery in exchange for their testimony in the Cryer's and the Harrington's trial; and finally Quincy finds Candace. In the end, Quincy ends up being stabbed to death by Candace and Jeffrey.

 62 "The Waters Run Deep" January 5, 2016 Candace and Jeffrey disagree on what to do with Quincy's body when interrupted by a knock on the door; The D.A., Jennifer, has big plans for the Cryers and the Harringtons; Meanwhile, the Cryers and the Harringtons deal with the consequences of their actions; Maggie and Landon leak information to the press, so David will get off; Jennifer is helping Wyatt get his inheritance, which is worth $12 million; Hanna rents a motel room because she refuses to live in Benny's new house.

63 "Paid In Full" January 12, 2016 Candace and Jeffery get a visit from police because of a nosy neighbor; Jeffery panics and ends up in a bad situation; Jennifer confesses her love for David; We find out some interesting information about Katheryn's family; Meanwhile back at the mansion Wyatt is celebrating his freedom; Benny comes to the motel to take Hanna home, but will she go?

 64 "The Right Medicine" January 19, 2016 Quincy wakes up and begs for Candace's help; Benny asks Warlock and Mitch for help with the company; Jeffery gets sexually harassed by Officer Justin after a DUI arrest; Quincy's sister is getting worried about him; Hanna's pride is putting her in a financial tight spot; Wyatt tries to fake a drug test; Maggie gets David released and he finds out the truth about Benny and Veronica; Jennifer is gathering her army of "Jim-haters" to give him absolute "hell".

 65 "An Evil Soul" January 26, 2016 Candace's lies catch up with her especially when Warlock comes for a visit; Wyatt fakes his urine test; Benny has suspicions about his friends; Maggie tries to get David released; Jennifer tries to intimidate Katheryn, but it doesn't go quite as planned; When that goes wrong all of the Harringtons are forced to share jail cell together with Jim; Benny visits Candace and gets a surprise.

 66 "Immunity" February 2, 2016 Benny agrees to help Candace hide evidence in Quincy's murder; Jeffery finds out about Wyatt's immunity deal for him and refuses to testify unless the Cryer and Harrington trials can be separate; Wyatt reveals to Candace he was the one who hit Benny; Quincy Jr. starts to get sick, and later passes out on the way to the hospital; David is released from jail by Maggie; Jim and Veronica argue from their cells.

 67 "Making Millions" February 9, 2016 Quincy Jr. passes out on Hanna after getting really sick and is taken to the hospital and placed in ICU; Quincy's sister Quita gets a call from the police about her car; David asks Brandon a.k.a. Oscar to find Veronica's "lover" and her hitman; Benny goes to the tow-yard for tools, but Mitch questions his motives, soon after Benny chops up Quincy's body and buries him in the yard, then Candace finally tells Benny that Wyatt was the person who put him in the coma; Wyatt finally gets his inheritance; Warlock comes to collect but Candace isn't ready yet; Meanwhile Jeffery is getting the third degree from Pearl, the nosy neighbor; Later, David goes back to the hotel to find Maggie.

68 "A Front Row Seat" February 16, 2016 Maggie's lie to David could cause her to lose him forever; Katheryn gets out of jail but she can't find anyone to help Jim or Veronica; Quita pays a visit to Candace's but Pearl, the nosy neighbor gets in the way; David is looking for Benny; Hanna goes back to work but all is not what it seems; Candace gets a visit from Erica (the girl that sold Benny the car) and they plot their revenge on Oscar.

 69 "Unexpected Visitors" February 23, 2016 Candace interrogates the social worker; Hanna is steaking out at Cryer's mansion waiting for their return; Katheryn goes to visit David but little does she know that Wyatt is one step closer to getting his inheritance; At the jail Jim and Veronica are in too deep and Veronica is forced to represent herself, which results in her being released from jail and Jim having another 30 days tacked on to his jail time after he is held in contempt of court for foul-mouthing at the judge; Meanwhile, Wyatt buys a condo; David takes matters into his own hands by having Oscar disconnect Benny's phone lines.

 70 "I Choose My Son" March 1, 2016 Quita and Daylon break into Candace's house but are caught by Pearl, who calls her son Justin and his police squad to arrest them; Justin continues to harass Jeffery and even threatens to kill him; Veronica gets released but all isn't as she hoped; Candace interrogates Landon; David continues the search for Veronica’s house; Hanna confronts Katheryn about Wyatt.

71 "Beg For What You Need" March 8, 2016 Candace puts a plan into action to save herself and Benny from War's rage. Katheryn pleads with Hanna to not end their friendship. Veronica handles the hired assassin hiding in her house in an unexpected manner.

 72 "48 Hours"March 15, 2016 Warlock has pushed up Candace’s due date, so she goes to the bank to mortgage the houses and Benny’s tow yard; Katheryn pays Jennifer a visit; David finds out where Veronica lives; Meanwhile, after Candace goes the bank, Lloyd, the banker calls Jim and informs him of Candace’s motives; Back at the hotel may of Wyatt is found unconscious. Hanna is completely fed up with Candace; Veronica pays Jeffery and Candace a visit; the episode ends with Maggie walking into Veronica’s house and is shot by the gunman.

 73 "My Friend Maggie" June 21, 2016 Maggie is shot six times in the stomach and falls over. The gunman runs out of the house but is shot down by the police who was next door. Wyatt is found unconcious by hotel managers and is presumed dead. At Candace's house, Jeffrey has a breakdown about being involved in the crimes as a result of her and Wyatt. Candace meets with Warlock and lets him know the bank is offering her the loan in just two days. Benny confronts Candace about where she obtained Jim Cryer's money and she reveals to him that she was his escort. David drives to the crime scene to discover the bodies of Maggie and the gunman wrapped in sheets, but mistakenly believes Veronica was one of the people killed. He later goes to Jim's cell that night to beat him up.

74 "Criminology 101" June 28, 2016 David finds out Maggie was the one who got shot. Jeffery seduces Justin into sleeping with him. Jeffery and Landon find out about Maggie's murder. Veronica taunts David with much malice. D.A. Jennifer finds out about Wyatt.

75 "Giving Candy To A Baby" July 5, 2016 Jennifer is afraid to face the consequences; Hanna meets Pearl and she tells her about Candace’s doings which raises her suspicions ; Landon is tired of the secrets and lies and decides to leave town ; Jim apologizes to David for putting a hit out on Veronica; Finally, Katheryn gets some unsettling news.


76 15 "The Apple Tree" July 12, 2016
Katheryn copes with Wyatt's departure; War tells Candace that her time is up and Benny's life hangs in the balance; Benny's phone is still disconnected and Mitch tries to warn him about War; Jeffery stops by Candace's meanwhile Jeffery gets a call from Justin and Mitch comes to check on Candace; Later, Jeffery stops by Veronica's to show him--his new room; Justin admits that he doesn't want to stop seeing Jeffery; and finally Hanna goes to visit Jim in jail to tell him about Wyatt.

77 16 "The Heart of A Man" July 19, 2016
Jim apologizes to Hanna and her for help to get out of jail; Candace gives War the money then Mitch tries to help Candace but it only makes things worse; Melissa and Jeffery form an alliance to take down Veronica; David tries help Jeffery then they get a phone call from Catherine about Wyatt's death; Veronica and Jeffery go to visit Catherine but Veronica pushes Jeffery to his limit and cause him to stab her in the chest!

78 17 "An Accident" July 26, 2016
Jeffrey begins to implode so he calls Candace and Justin for help; When Benny and Mitch can't find David and decide to hurt him "where it hurts the most"; Veronica tells the police that Jeffery stabs her, but Hanna is trying to convince them that she's lying; David goes to hotel to view Wyatt's body only to find out that Wyatt's alive; Jennifer has some shocking news about someone we've forgot about.

On the season finale, Candace begins to see her carefully plotted plans begin to unravel when investigators receive a warrant to search her home where Quincy's body is buried. On top of that, she has only 48 hours to return millions of dollars to the bank as a result of fraud charges. 

Erica continues to work her magic on David while Oscar looks into her background, though all he finds is Candace waiting for him with a crow bar that she wields as a weapon.

Veronica arrives at Katheryn's home to attend a meeting with the DA regarding Wyatt's inheritance. When the DA refuses to comply, Katheryn does the unthinkable and murders her in cold blood in front of Veronica before telling her once-friend that it's her job to clean up the mess, or else..........
